The Many Forms of Exercise

Everyone knows of the many benefits of exercise, from improved heart health to better weight maintenance. Many believe they are unable to exercise because they cannot jog or lift weights. Think outside the box; seek out activities requiring movement in some form. Exercise comes in many different shapes and sizes. It must simply raise one’s heart rate or require physical exertion. For example, yoga utilizes isometric exercise in which muscles work but don’t move. Tai Chi utilizes slow movements but provides many health benefits. And there are so many others. Find an activity that appeals to you; if exercise is boring or feels like torture, you won't stick with it.
